Shasta Wildlife is almost completely staffed by volunteers. Our organization needs your help to continue the vital work of wildlife rehabilitation in our community. Without our organization and dedicated volunteers, many species of wildlife would not get a second chance to survive in the wild. Shasta Wildlife is always in need of hard-working, reliable volunteers who love and value the wild inhabitants of the natural world. Volunteers are primarily needed between April and August. Only one 4 hour shift is required per week. Shifts are generally 8:00 am - 12:00 noon, 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm, and 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, seven days a week. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. If you are interested in volunteer work other than hands-on animal care, volunteers are needed for repair and maintenance work, fund raising, and non-animal care. We help over 1,000 lives a year and those lives depend on volunteers being there to care for them. The wildlife we help can’t say “thank you” themselves. But every person who volunteers makes a difference to them.
